Hello Jim,
Thought I would let you know... my father (Gregory Pantages Sr.) will be singing "Take Me Out To The Ball Game" and/or "America The Beautiful" this Sunday at the Giants/Patriots game (7th inning stretch) at AT&T Park in San Francisco. This Ahepan of over 55 years will have an audience of about 40,000 plus radio and TV (if TV doesn't fill with advertising)... not bad for an 88 year old. His granddaughter (my daughter Eleni) was awarded a generous scholarship by our District #20 to pursue her vocal and choral studies at USC... she is following in her grandfather's footsteps. My Dad has been singing in the San Francisco church choirs since he was 17 and still has a great voice. Incidentally, Eleni finished her sophomore year with straight "A's"... we will be attending the convention luncheon.
Thought you might like to pass on this source of pride to our brother Ahepans. My father, incidentally, was born on March 25, 1921 and has been singing "Yero Demos" every year in Greek independence celebrations since he was seventeen... only now he says he is old enough to know how Yero Demos felt
Take care and hope all is well,
Greg (Jr.)
