Ahepa District Governor's Message

The Ahepa Family of District 20 is having a Great Year. We started by hosting The Ahepa National Convention In San Diego. The 77^th Supreme Convention was hosted by the following chapters: San Diego #223, George Poulos #505, and Heartland #444. They made our District proud with a great Convention. With spectacular planning and organization, all of Ahepa, National and International, witnessed the best we have to offer. So many young people opted to come and participate, it was like a Convention of years past, yet indicating a healthy transition of the Ahepa Family into the new Millennium. Our congratulations to Chairmen Chris Zazas and Alex Rigopoulos for a job well done!

Supreme President George Dariotis, Supreme Vice President Jim Dimitriou and Supreme Governor Dino Basdakis were all elected in San Diego. Congratulations to our favorite sons.

Ahepa is an active contemporary service organization. When an earthquake struck Athens just after the Supreme Convention, our District got behind Supreme President George Dariotis and his goal of raising $100,000. $210,000 has been raised to date, with over $10,000 being raised in District 20. Special thanks go to Supreme Governor Dino Basdakis for his good work.

Finally, I'd like to give special thanks to Past District Governor Lyle Hochberger for all his guidance and advice during the year. He has been an outstanding District Advisor.
