The 77^th Supreme Convention of AHEPA will convene at the San Diego Marriott Hotel and Marina in San Diego, CA from Saturday July 3 through Tuesday July 6, 1999.

For the first time in the history of AHEPA we have changed the format of our convention and will need the cooperation of all our chapters to ensure a successful convention.

The San Diego Marriott is located in downtown San Diego right on the bay overlooking a beautiful Marina. The hotel is a 5 minute ride from the Airport. The hotel provides easy access to all major tourist and shopping facilities as well as some of the finest restaurants in San Diego.

The room rate for both single and double occupancy is $129.00. Reservations may be made by calling Marriott Reservations at 1-800-831-4004. Please schedule your arrival for Saturday July 3 and your departure for Wednesday July 8. Room availability prior to and after the convention is limited. A limited number of suites are also available.

AHEPA has arranged with Rex Travel in New York, our Convention Travel Agency to issue the lowest possible fares to San Diego. Please call 1-212-757-4255 or 1-800-223-0460. Please make your reservations early for space may be limited over the July 4^th Holiday. Southwest Airlines also has inexpensive rates to San Diego.

The constitution calls for the election of Convention Delegates to take place during the months of March, April and May and to be reported to Headquarters no later than June 1, 1999. Because the Convention is one month earlier, we urge you to elect your delegates and report them to headquarters earlier than usual. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.

The Registration Fee for the San Diego Convention will be $130.00. Again because of time constraints, we urge all eligible delegates to pre-register.

Registration will be held on Saturday July 3 from 9:00am-midnight and on Sunday July 4 from 9:00am-6:00pm. Only those delegates registering by 12:00am on Saturday July 3 will be eligible to vote for convention chairman.
