The 77th Supreme Convention of AHEPA will convene at the San Diego Marriott Hotel and Marina in San Diego, California over the period of Saturday, July 3 through Tuesday, July 6, 1999.

For the first time in the history of AHEPA we have changed the number of days our convention will be held, and need the cooperation of all our chapters to ensure a successful convention.

LOCATION:
The San Diego Marriott is located in downtown San Diego right on the bay overlooking a beautiful Marina. The hotel is a 5v minute taxi ride from the Airport. The hotel provides, easy accessto all major tourist and shopping facilities as well as someof the finest restaurants in San Diego.

HOTEL RESERVATIONS:

The room rates for both single and double occupancy is $129,00. Reservations may be made by calling Marriott Reservations at 1-800-228-9290. Please schedule your arrival for Saturday, July 3 and your departure for Wednesday, July 7. Room availability prior to and after the convention is limited. A limited number of suites and bay view are also available. The Marriott will honor our room rate three days prior and three days after the convention, based on availability.

TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS:

AHEPA has arranged with United Airlines to issue the lowest possible fares to San Diego. Please call United at (1-800-223-0460). When calling please advise them of the AHEPA Meeting Code 544TJ. Please make your reservations early for space may be limited over the July 4th Holiday. Southwest Airlines also has inexpensive rates to San Diego.

ELECTION OF DELEGATES:

The Constitution calls for the election of Convention Delegates to take place during the months of March, April and May, and to be reported to Headquarters no later than June I., 1999. Because the convention is one month earlier we urge you to elect your delegates and report them to headquarters earlier than usual. Your cooperation will be greatly appreciated.

REGISTRATION FEE:

The Registration Fee for the San Diego Convention will be $130.00. Again, because of the time constraints we urge all eligible delegates to pre-register.

REGISTRAION:

Registration will be held on Saturday, July 3 from 9:00am-12:00am and on Sunday, July 4 from 9:00am-6:00pm. Only those delegates registering by 12am on Saturday, July 3 will be eligible to vote for convention chairman.
